Is there an age limit?
CCA generally accepts players aged 7 years and above. Children under 7 are not encouraged to enrol in structured programs; however, basic skill exposure sessions for interested children and parent-guided coaching can be arranged on request.
Who are the coaches?
The Head Coach is Dr Masud Rahman, widely known as “Dr Cricket.”
Supporting coaches are primarily emerging ACT Comets players and other experienced cricketers who are trained and accredited through CCA’s coaching framework.
What should my child bring to training?
Players must bring full cricket gear, including a helmet, to every session.
For safety reasons, junior players are not permitted to train without appropriate protective equipment.
What clothing should be worn?
Comfortable sportswear is suitable. Players should ensure clothing allows free movement and safe participation.

What training equipment does CCA use?
CCA regularly uses bowling machines, Spin Fire Thrower, side arms and video analysis cameras to support skill development and performance feedback.
What makes CCA’s training innovative?
CCA delivers a unique, research-informed coaching model that blends live match simulation, biomechanics, video analysis and decision-making training.
- Many players progress from standard levels to high-performance capability within approximately two years, subject to commitment.
- Training sessions and matches are often live-streamed via Facebook and YouTube for learning and transparency.
- CCA also collaborates with local universities to explore and apply innovative coaching and performance methods.
Are discounts available?
CCA operates under a social business model. Discounts are generally not offered unless a family is experiencing genuine financial hardship. In such cases, support may be considered confidentially.
